Solis was founded by Dr. W. Schaufelberger in 1908. He invented the famous Solis heating pad and launched it on the market at the beginning of the 20th century. A ground-breaking range of professional hairdryers followed in 1933, with hairdryer production in Zurich, Switzerland. Solis was one of the first companies in the world to manufacture hairdryers, and Solis appliances are available in more than 40 countries around the world.
