Noora is an Emirati girl who discovers the world of books on her mothers lap, , Mothers Lap in the UAE is a story based on a reading center established in Al Ain, a city in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Grce Chami-Sather, author of this book, was a professor and educational psychologist at the UAE University. She attempted to promote the importance of mothers reading to their own children and to bring awareness to the importance of scaffolding children using the zone of proximal development, by reading for young children.
